Team Countryside since: 2013
Kelly is originally from South Florida, and moved to Deland with her family. They have 3 dogs and one cat, which is a relatively small number for the family. Kelly’s experience with her pets is what sparked her unwavering interest in veterinary medicine at a very young age.
Kelly’s family were clients of Countryside and she participated in the mentor program with Dr. Bryson when she was 12. After she graduated from Father Lopez she worked her summers as a kennel technician, and has since also started working in the laboratory and surgery as a veterinary assistant. She is open to learning and happy to help her Countryside co-workers. Kelly says, “I really care about our clients and like to see that they have a good experience at our clinic.”
Kelly attends the University of Florida in Gainesville. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology with a focus on Animal Biology with a minor in Nutritional Sciences. Kelly is currently attending the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. During her studies she acquired a 3-legged rescue dog that travels with her. She always misses Countryside when she’s away and is always enthusiastic to come back when she gets breaks from school. In her spare time she likes to exercise, spend time with family, and spend times outdoors fishing.
“The happiest people don’t have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have.”
